The 2024 published anthology 'Denmark as a global player 17th-20th century - Colonial possessions and historical responsibility' deals with the colonial history of Denmark. The outcome of the Flensburg 2030+ process has been published. The development of a concept for dealing with colonial history is also mentioned as a measure.

In May 2022, Flensburg's cultural committee unanimously passed a resolution to come to terms with Flensburg's colonial past. Among other things, the resolution calls on the administration to create a memorial to colonialism.
