Spaces of Decolonial Education – Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Racism under Postcolonial Conditions
Flensburg Campus Talks in autumn 2024
The fact that racism is deeply inscribed in social structures, institutions and practices is increasingly becoming a topic of public discourse. Nevertheless, the colonial entanglements and the historicity of current racist orders, exclusion structures and marginalisation are rarely part of public debates in Germany.
With this series of events, the organisers want to create a space to explore and differentiate different approaches, methods and associated (play)spaces of anti-racist and decolonial education in formal, non-formal and informal educational practice from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Together with actors from academia, educational practice, educational administration and civil society, discussions will focus on the fields of school, out-of-school educational work, adult education and university, among others.
